    Pipers Wardrobe Challenge

This is a challenge in response and furtherance of a thread started by Dall Piobaire, called Pipers Wardrobe, asking for input about the traditional piper's wardrobe. Would it be possible for our piping brethren to do for the piper's wardrobe what Pinache and McMurdo did for civilian kilted attire in 1 Kilt 10 Looks : A Visual Guide to Formality in Highland Attire ? Any volunteers to show us pics of your kit, from No 1 Dress Military to pub night in flip flops? It would be great if you could explain the elements of your kit and any historical origins or associations, if you have that info...I hope our Piping brethren find enjoyment in the challenge, and pardon me for being a demanding sod. Regards...

Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.

    Regimental Drum Major Association

By the way, some information can be found in the Manuals of the Regimental Drum Major Association, here http://drummajor.net/1Manuals.htm. However, as you might guess, these manuals are oriented a little more for the Drum part of the Pipes and Drums...the challenge is for the Pipeys out there to sound off and get their licks in...Regards...

Street Piper / Flip Flops. St. Patrick's day 2008. Very hot day in Florida.

Piping for a rugby match in Missouri. I was up there visiting my girlfriend during her last semester of college.

Band Uniform. We call this our "St. Patrick's Day" uniform. It's our least formal getup.
