I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY wish I could go, but I'll be taken up before Child Protective Services if we both go to Canada, leaving the little darlings to fend for themselves, and we won't be eating much in the next few months if I spend any more money.

I'm scrambling trying to go myself! I am supposed to be administering provincial examinations Friday night and most of Saturday. With luck my pleas to colleagues will find someone who would not be adverse to taking my place for Friday night.

Well, that's all fine and dandy, but you also have to find a place where we can bring the kids and then drive us all home (if you want me to do any drinking). Hey, I know what! You can just come over here and we can drink in the privacy of my living room. Be sure to bring that wonderful wife of yours along!
