What there was another Walmart associate on XMarks! Don't forget to claim your permanent employment discount card. Congrats!

Welcome to the ranks of the Kilted Retired Old Farts Association. I joined in "02, at 59 for similar reasons (arthritic knees).

Congratulations indeed!
It's a move you will not regret.
I stepped away from full time employment two months ago, and you still can't get the smile off my face!
Friends have commented on my "weight loss", truth is I weigh the same, but my posture is better without the stress of work!
May I offer up a wee limmerick?
Old Douglad was feeling the heat,
so he lay down and put up his feet.
Just a bit of a smirk,
for he did not miss work,
cuz being retired is a treat!

Congratulations.
I was fortunate enough to be able to retire last year at the age of 57 and have been kilted almost daily ever since.
Now I don't know how I ever found the time to work, yet I feel the need to take a part time driving job to help pay for all my leisure activities. Pensions and investment income will cover life's essentials, but you will find you spend more money on travel, kilts, etc. once you have more free time.
