There's a sign over the bar that says "If you're smoking in here, you better be on fire."

    That's why I love the place...clean air!

Well that's good to hear. We may be changing our plans for the weekend. Not sure if we are going to Biltmore Estates but perhaps we can set up something.

Well we made it down alright, it was a 16 hour drive and we did it as a straight run, we won't be doing that again. Anyway spent some time yesterday at the Scottish Tartans Museum with Matt and Rowan. I've got to say you should see the customer service these guys put in, the system is cutting edge state of the art stuff, and they will do their upmost to see that the customer is satisfied.

So we were taking to Tartsan Hiker and Splash4 on the phone last night and it was decided that Sunday Night would be the best for some kind of get together, somewhere in or near Franklin, after the drive down we could really use something close by. I will update when we've got a place nailed down.

Sunday? Hmmm.... And here I was contemplating on coming up that way tomorrow to see the museum and maybe pick up some new hose while I'm at it. That's a long drive to make twice in one weekend.

Well we were not going to be town anyway tomorrow as Catherine really wants to see some of her friends who she has not seen since her move up to Canada.

I'm really hoping that the above bolded text was said tongue in cheek. :-) It would be a sad commentary on Canada's technilogical capabilities if you think our system is "state of the art." lol....

I tell people that being a museum we do things the old fashioned way. Most all of our records are kept with pen and paper. McMurdo got to witness first hand our system in action as I got to deal with a few customer issues on the phone during his visit.

Hope you are enjoying the rest of your NC stay!

    Matt,

Can you explain this process to our younger members.

You might want to define "pen" and "paper" to those that are reading this on their blackberries

Glad to hear that Glen and Catherine are haveing a good time.

    Cheers

Sadly, it doesn't look like I'll get to see you this trip, Glen. I doubt I'll be able to make it up for Foothills this year.

Hope you and your lady faire have a great visit, great trip and take lots of piccies.

And 16 hours?? Really? Did you walk part of the way? I used to make Asheville to Oakville in just over 13. I always cross at Fort Erie though.
