A Kilted Newbie Looking for Burns Celebrations in Ontario

I am a newbie to MARKSTHESCOT.COM and I am looking for feedback on 2010 Burns celebrations in Ontario?

In past years, I have enjoyed the Fergus Burns dinner, but due to a scheduling conflict for one of my relatives, I am looking for alternate Burns dinners that may be happening on days other than on the January 23 - the date for the Burns dinner in Fergus, ON.

I am also interested in hearing about other events with folks throughout the year that are Kilt appropriate including scotch nosings, pub gatherings, highland games, musical events etc.

Backgrounder: I have worn a kilt for years and I currently own two with the following tartans: Flower of Scotland and MacKirdy.

Thanks for any feedback regarding the above,

    -Scott

If I hear of any others I'll pass them on.

We have kilt nights mostly once a month and you would be more than welcome to come out.

Here is a search for SOKS (Southern Ontario Kilt Society)

You will find many of our past events including photos and video from last years Burns Night.

    Thank you for the Information

Thank you kindly for the Information you provided!

I have taken a look at last years Burns event and it appears it was an enjoyable evening.

The venue (Hamilton Rite) looks stunning with all its wooden character.

Thank you for the warm welcome to your Kilt events, I will keep an eye out and endeavour to join you all in the future. I look forward to learning more from the group.

    Until then, Slainte Mhath

    -Scott
