    Hey, I honeymooned at St. Simon Island in 1967 at the then roach-infested King and Prince Hotel...in the Bridal Suite tower...dang you folks have BIG roaches that come out at night...

    I vote for the white shirt - for no other reason than mercy for the wearers in the heat and humidity.

    I would say go with the black shirt for casual pub type events and go with the white shirt that you can add to (like cavscout suggests) for more formal functions. Options-got to like the options!!

    Thanks again for all the input. The Uniform Board meets again today and I will be showing these posts to the other members.

    Ron, Haha, thats a trip! The King and Prince has cleaned up but we do have huge bugs that we church up as "Palmetto Bugs". Thats fancy southern talk for Roaches!

    As for the dress shirts, I would like for us to maintain a fire dept feel with an actual uniform type shirt with the pockets, especially if we want to wear our badge or medals. I however do see dressing it up with a vest and jacket for formal events.
