Black or Brown?

I would have worn black, reguardless of day or night.. if you notice the Highland photos, most wear black shoes all around.. especially the Duke of Rothesay.. if its good enough for him.....well...

If you're wearing a waistcoat and not a belt, and the sporran is brown, I'd say brown shoes. But, then again, it is an evening function, so perhaps black would be better.

If you are worried that the outfit will be too formal, I think you can go with brown sporran and shoes. If not go with black.

Black dress shoes - no problem. And I have an all-black leather sporran to go with 'em.
But, what say you to a black trimmed hair sporran with the black shoes?

I know I'm over-thinking this, but that's what we do here, right?

1. That sporran is awesome...love it both times I've seen it.
2. It will go with either black or brown leathers...wear what you want. I'd probably go with black shoes for night/dinner, but would definitely not be opposed to brown either, depending on style.
