Thumbs up Kilts at a CD release party

Our freinds the Blaggards had the release party for their new CD, "Live in Texas"
( http://blaggards.com/music/liveintexas/ ) at the Continental Club in downtown Houston last night, so Shelley and I went down to see them and we saw a few kilt wearing friends...

Here's me with a couple of other Blaggards regulars. This was the break-in run for the new Bluebonnet tartan kilt, it stood out and got a lot of nice comments.

Here's Shelley with our friend Steve, he used to work with me at the motorcycle shop.

We had a couple of other kilted friends show up, but it got too crowded and crazy to get good photos! There were at least 6 or 7 guys in kilts, so a pretty good turn-out.

I braved the standing room only crowd and got a couple shots of the band...

We had a special treat for this show; Chis the fiddler could not make the gig, so Turi, the Blaggards original fiddle player who moved California a couple years ago came to town for one show! She's not only a great fiddler, but made the band 100% better looking

Hear hear on the bluebonnett standing out and the fiddler improving things.

How cool to have so many kilties show up without it being an organized kiltie rendezvous.
