    Tilted Kilt Las Vegas Closed?

Has anyone heard if the Tilted Kilt in Las Vegas has closed? I searched TkLV and got several good revues and one site had closed after the name. TK's web site does not list a TK in LV. Stuck going to Las Vegas on Thanksgiving weekend and I am looking for some good entertainment that my wife and sister in law will accept.

The original TK in the Las Vegas Rio hotel was closed several years ago...Too bad, since I had a really good night there on one trip!

There are plenty of other places to go kilted in Vegas though! Here are pics from my last trip (first kilted trip) to Vegas earlier this year:

Walking around the Strip can be fun. So is Freemont Street.

From the number of trips made to Vegas over the past 20 years, it seems that we have had more fun being spontaneous than trying to plan out where we wanted to go, or what we wanted to do.

Just remember, it's VEGAS!!!...Grab a cocktail, and strut your stuff. The fun will come to you, especially while kilted.

I think it is really about Las Vegas re-inventing itself non-stop. They are always closing popular bars, resaurants, even whole casinos, just to build something newer, bigger, or better.

One decade, they try to cater to upscale adults with gambeling and booze (think Sinatra, Davis, and others), next they try to cater to families (Circus Circus, roller coasters at New York New York, virtual reality rides at Luxor, and jousting at Excalibur), then its entertainment (Cirque, White Tigers, magicians, singers, etc.) to draw in the crowds, then college spring break happens for a few years (until the crack-down on under-aged drinking/gambeling), Pro Rodeo keeps coming back...somewhere in the middle there is the sleazy (the "what happens here, stays here" slogan, bachelor parties, "The Hangover", and Adult Video Awards events), then it's back to upscale (Trump, Wynn, Bellagio, Venetian, etc.)...What's next? Who knows, but I'm sure it'll be a blast!
