Barb - Seeing as no one else has asked, is the book available to the "general public"? If so, so you know what the cost would be?

It sounds like an absolutely amazing story (not to mention most worthy addition to an outstanding collection), and, as has been mentioned, a true labor of love! :-)

These are "one off" books, basically. When you click "by book", iPhoto sends a pdf of the book to Apple, and they print as many as you want to buy. I did two books for our daughter's wedding a few years ago, one chronicling all the preparations ahead of time and one for the wedding itself. I think I must have bought a couple dozen and gave them as Xmas presents the following year.

When we ordered the book for Hamish, I ordered him one and a couple of extras. Because it's just a pdf, it's always possible to order more. I have no idea how Hamish would feel about it, but, if you're interested, send me an email or a PM, and we can talk about it.

If anyone's interested, here's the iPhoto web page:

    http://www.apple.com/ilife/iphoto/print-products.html

You can see the templates (click on the link to "view themes") and scroll down and see the products, everything from 10x13" hard cover books with dust jackets down to 2.6x3.5" soft cover "brag books". And, of course, they also have calendars, greeting cards, postcards, etc.

These are the other two books I mentioned in the previous post:

Many thanks, Barb, for sharing those pages and pictures with us all.
The book is a fitting record of a unique kilt.
I am sure Hamish is almost as proud of the book as he is of the kilt.
And again congratulations to Barb and Rocky for their part in its production.
    Regards,
    Mike

Barb, I thought your pictorial of the making of the kilt was a blast. This book idea has endless paths....
Thank you so much for sharing

Barb: Your book is an an absolute great idea. What better way to document the creation of the 100th Hamish Kilt. You are the greatest.
