    The Freemason's Symbol Belt Buckle

In Freemasonry, the Square is an emblem of virtue in which one must "square one’s actions by the square of virtue with all mankind", and the Compass exemplifies one’s wisdom of conduct, the strength to "circumscribe one’s desires and keep passions within due bounds".

When these 2 Masonic tools are placed together with God, the Creator, as the central focal point, peace and harmony is the result.

The Freemason's Symbol, pewter on brass, 3.5 inches diameter, Tyger Forge copyright 2010

Yet another piece of fantastic work, Mark! I could see this one being a huge hit!

Awesome, awesome, job- as with the Red Hand of Ulster; that one reminds me of Lord of the Rings, as well. The White Hand of Saruman.

I totally thought that as well, I just didn't want to 'fess-up' to my colossal geekhood.

    Tyger, great work again!

In my original post I failed to point out that these buckles can be obtained at the STMGS. If anyone is interested in my making a buckle for you, just contact the STMGS. I usually make this point clear in all my posts, and did not do so in this case.

Plus, I see that changes have been made in the forum topic categories and rules, and I need to pay closer attention to that. I have been simply hitting the New Posts button, scanning the topics, then jumping out and getting back to work. Please accept my sincere apologies extended to all concerned.

My portfolio of designs has grown during the past 2 years that the Museum has been selling these buckles, so I am planning to meet with Matt this week to see if the webpage bears a full complement of photographs.

Many thanks to all for your keen interest, and kind remarks.
