New STM Bonnet, by Ryan Ross

Yesterday, I received my long awaited bonnet from The Scottish Tartan Museum. Thanks to Matt at STM, and a special thanks to Ryan Ross and Abigale for crafting a beautiful bonnet.

My favorite bonnet maker was (still is) Chris, at Dunadd Trading Company, and this new bonnet is right up there in quality with Chris' items. So, I have two favorite bonnet makers now.

    You NEED one of these!!

Darn, now I want another one in a different color.

If you don't have a Ryan Ross bonnet, you better get one soon. Awesome!!

That is a very fetching colour! I've been on the fence about bonnet #2, trying to decide between blue and a charcoal grey, and this isn't helping me decide

I agree that if you don't have a Ryan Ross, you NEED one!

(and if you have one, you'll want another)

That's a good looking bonnet. It must imbue the wearer with a dose of surliness because you've got the Ryan Ross scowl down pat!

    Not so. You need TWO!

(and if you have one, you'll want another)
    Now you're thinking straight.

Very sharp looks save the polyfleece with the wool bonnet and the cotton shirt with the wool bonnet....where be the wool sweaters or jackets??

Well, mine was taken when it was about 80*f, so the wool might have been overkill

Mine arrived yesterday. Two of them.

One green, one dark blue. The blue is actually blue and grey, but the "heathered" effect of the way the colors are blended makes it look solid blue until you're right on top of (or under!) it. I'm VERY impressed with the workmanship.

I began wearing the blue one yesterday as soon as it arrived at work -- a cold, blustery, showery day in San Francisco -- with my business suit and London Fog black trenchcoat. Literally everyone who's seen it so far has complimented me on it.

If you don't have a Ryan Ross bonnet, you NEED one. At least one.
