    My very first kilt hose!

I was inspired to knit them after seeing such lovely ones here. It took me a long time to get them finished because I kept getting interrupted with other projects but here they are, all done! I used a Fir Cone lace for the cuff and I am VERY pleased with how they turned out. I did them in a men's size small so I could model them. They have a knit in garter (tight 1x1 ribbing done in smaller sized needles.) under the cuff to help them stay up.

But the exciting bit is that I was contacted by a film production company who wants several pairs for a movie that is being made! How freakin' awesome is that?

I forgot to mention that I made them out of Lion Brand Wool-Ease wool blend that is machine washable. And they aren't scratchy or picky at all!

Those are good-looking hose, especially for your first pair. Next, you'll be wanting to work cables and use sock-weight yarn, and then you'll be hooked!
    Thanks for posting these pics.
