Talking Need advice on proper items to complete this...

Hi all! I've recently put together an outfit from items purchased from What Price Glory & need advice on the proper sporran & maybe other items needed to complete the look. I was thinking a horse hair sporran but maybe I'm thinking wrong Any input would be appreciated...thanks

The kilt is a tank & my first wool kilt. The tunic is well made & unlined. I have some tailoring to do to it but other then that, I couldn't be happier w/the items purchased.

I'm wondering if a belt wouldn't be in order too.

I was thinking the same thing X because the tunic has what looks to be brass belt hangers sewn in on the waistline just behind the hips. I'll have to experiment w/some of the belts I have to see what that'll look like. Thanks for your input

Awesome! Thanks for the help guys. Thanks for the pics Taygrd & seumasFinn. I did order the hose tops when I ordered the boots & brown sporran. Now I have to hunt down one of the belts & the puttees. The horse hair sporran will eventually be a purchase too I knew you guys would be able to help me. Thanks again. I'll post pics as I come along w/the uniform Till then anymore info would be very much appreciated

Nice period outfit, Adam. A horsehair sporran would go well for a smart uniform, but many rankers had either plain leather pouches or no sporran at all (shortage of supply).
Many even had to adjust their own tunics (designed for wearing with trousers), and some did it quite amateurishly. So your outfit is better than average!
Puttees would definitely complete the look.
    Regards,
    Mike

WPG often have the replica P37 webbing belts with brass fitting as does the internet store IMA. They sometimes turn up on ebay under various guises, such as webbing belts, parade belts etc. A brown sam brown belt could also be considered I guess depending on what image you are trying to create.
