    Xkilt help

    ok im to the point of figuring out my pleats but what i cant figure out for the life of me is in the step before that... it says to cut a strip 3 in wide by 12 in long and attach a strip of velcro to it, what i cant figure out is the velcro sewn on the face (design side) or behind.

    It really doesn't matter, as that strip of velcro and fabric will never be seen from outside the kilt. But I sewed the velcro to the design side of fabric, for what it's worth.

    (Ignore the discussion of errors in placement of the fabric strip, that was fixed in the second edition of XKilt manual)

    I waited until later to play with the Velcro.

    On Xkilt Mk I, it's attached to the deep pleat and facing of the apron, below the waistband; not to a separate piece.

    Attaching it to the waistband might be equally effective. I need to figure out when to do it: after the front of the waistband is sewed down to the right side??? That would insure that I know where it will mate up with the under-apron.
