Rochester NY 2011 Tartan Day Celebration

The Rochester area will be celebrating National Tartan Day on Saturday April 9th, 2011 at the Main Street Armory. Our annual festival includes plenty of scottish/celtic live music, Pipe Bands, scottish food and drink, vendors to shop, mini-seminars, the clans and much more. Noon to 8pm, $10 at the door. Children 12 and under free. Kilts a plenty

We will also be marching in the Rochester St. Patty's Day Parade . Parade starts at 12:30 on March 12th. We will probably be getting together across the street from the Strath Allen Hotel prior to the parade, check the SHS web site for more details We will be with the Rochester Scottish Pipe Band. Wear lots of tartan and your Kilt , see you there

Our band, The Toronto Scottish Regiment, played in the parade. It was our first time there. We had a great time!
