I think the vendors and Clans will be in the same big tent.
We will be setting up our Clan tent tomorrow afternoon too. See you there.

Most of the vendors are under their own tents out in the grassy area between the big parking lot and the lake. The clans are in one of the two large tents on the parking lot, the other being the ceilidh tent. The pipe bands will be in the field in the rain.

The BIG tent is for the entertainers. The vendors should be bringing their own and would be set up, as Kenneth said, in the grassy area between the parking lot and the lake. The clans, for the past couple of years, have had a row of tents behind & facing the big tent, in the grass between the road and the smaller parking lot. You'll have front row seats for the British car show, which usually sets up in there.
There will be a secondary large-ish tent for the Highland dance competition, to the right of the Games center admission gate.
And - again as Kenneth said - the pipe bands will be out in the rain, as usual. (Band set-up area is behind the athletic field, towards the back. The competiton circle should be up towards the park's front gate and KY 227.)

Found out today that I will be setting up my tent in close proximity to the large clan tent. Getting a heavy storm here in Pittsburgh as we speak. Hope things are better for Saturday at the games.

Alas! I am forced to sit this one out. Kilt on, my brethren! Have a (non-alcoholic) pint for me!

Just got back from taking the band shelters up to the site for tomorrow. There is indeed a large clan tent (as there was in years past - there hadn't been one for a couple of years). It's immediately to the right of the center admission gate as you come in. The Highland Dance tent is the first large tent you'll see when driving in, to the far right as you face the venue from the parking area.
The ground is pretty well saturated - there was standing water in the athletic field and in the pipe band area - so be sure to bring yer wellies or be prepared to step gingerly when off the pavement! There's supposed to be some rain tonight, and scattered showers during the day tomorrow.

I saw John at the pipe band competition and we ran into Kyle and Stephanie on our way out (nice to meet the two of you!). Sorry we missed the others who attended (we did a very quick tour of the vendors as the wee one approached nap time and Mark wasn't at his post when we went through the clan tent). It was a very small crowd this year. I suppose a combination of the rain and the recent discussion of the games' demise must both have contributed. Here's a quick pic of me and the wee one this afternoon.

I also ran into Kyle and Stephanie on my way out. It was nice meeting the both of you. Please consider coming down for the Central Kentucky Games at Eminence on Sep 24 (will start a separate thread nearrer that time).
Kenneth, good to see you again and speaking with you and your wife, however briefly. Did you stick around long enough for the band contest results?

We were walking around during the announcement, so thanks for posting. Congratulations on two fine finishes for LPB! That Flint Scottish sounded like a completely different band in the Open contest - unbelievable transition.
