    Thanks, piperdbh, no T-shirts.

I know I have a little bit different view point on some things, but we were discussing the symbolic meaning of the heraldic beast, which has been compared to totem here in the heraldry forum. I strayed off into the horse history, I guess...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

I was with some horses last night. Three buckskins, a paint and two or three dappleds. And lots of flies.

Ya, I remember the flies that sometimes hang around horse areas, you need a horse tail.
It's been a long time since I've ridden a horse... I'm not an expert... The horses always want to walk under a low tree branch or something, so I would need to be with someone else.

My sister is an equestrian and used to be in the Western style horse shows, but I don't know how much she rides now a days. Some of my rancher relatives use horses, but I don't see them very often. That's the way my family is.

Do they vanish, or do they wear camouflage?

No, I have to have the camouflage when I visit my family.
