    Why I didn't post on non-traditional threads.

I'm going to drop my coins into the bucket.

When I found this forum I just started learning bagpipes. I was dreading the day I had to wear a kilt but if I was going to do it I would know what I was doing.
When I joined XMTS I had purchased a SportKilt for the pipe band and I hated it. But I could tell that if I had a heavy weight kilt I would like the comfort of it. So I bought a kilt from J.Higgins. I was right I loved how it felt. Well now I sold my sportkilt and my J.Higgins kilt was sacrificed to mothra. Now I have a double box kilt in Auld Scotland and a MacEwan knife pleated kilt. In MY kilted style I lean traditional.

    BUT....... ()
I now want a kilt to wear around the house. I'm not going to strap on a traditional kilt to bum around the house. I don't like the altkilt or utilikilt look. But I have been lurking in this section of XMTS. Silent. Learning. Looking. I can tell you honestly I am disappointed on the representation of non traditional Kilts.
I WANT TO SEE SOMETHING NEW!!
That link to the camo kilt with all of the tactical add on stuff was friggin incredible!! I want to see more of that. I want to see a kilt that is not traditional that I want to wear.
That's just this kids opinion. I don't want to pass up on contributing. I resolve to comment on the threads that I look at. Good bad and ugly.

    Gents,
Reading through this thread there are a number of posts that have failed to maintain the Guiding Principle and Rule for polite discussion and refraining from contentious posts.

Thread moved to the Cooling Off Corner for moderators review.
