    Official US government kilt check

In order to correct a gender error on my Medicare card I am being required to present myself, with proof of identification and gender to my local social security office! I am so tempted to arrive kilted, fully regimental, hoist my aprons into the air and shout "decide for yourselves!!!!!!!!!!!!" This is going to be fun

    Rules...

    Remember, no pics - it didn't happen...or maybe that's a bad idea.

No worries mate, unless there is a mirror the only thing I could photograph is the reaction to my proof of gender!

Red tape like that really makes me shake my head in bemusement.

Despite having obtained a fully enhanced criminal records bureau check, basic disclosure Scotland, Security Clearance, oh and provided a signed copy of my passport when I started my job, a few months ago I had to PROVE I HAD A RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK!!!!! By providing another signed copy of my passport to our HR department...

I know rules is rules but...whatever happened to the 'real world'?

    OK, gets of soapbox.

Should we start a kitty for bail money now?

What's the going rate for insult with a deadly weapon these days?
