Just a bump on this topic...

The Tucson Celtic Festival is tomorrow and Sunday. I'll be there with my family both days. We're both competing in the games. Stop by and say "Hi".

Burly Brute, I think I saw you a couple times from a distance...We'll be back tomorrow too, but I'm throwing. Stop by the athletics tents if you get a chance.

I was there with Glendale PD. How is the fellow from the Caber Toss? I was on the far side of the field when he was hurt. As a Nurse I was concerned.

As I understand it, he was throwing in the 190 Class, dropped the caber and turned his back to walk away (big mistake)...It bounced back up and smacked him in the back of the head. He knew what day of the week it was and where he was, but blanked out on his name. He refused medical service, was ordered to sit out the rest of the events by the judges and event staff, and sat on the bleachers with his wife the rest of the games. Hopefully he is OK.

Re: Any interest in an AZ kilt night?

There will be a kilt night December 7th at D'Arcy McGee's in Tempe. This is a "Kilted for a Cause" event partially sponsored by the Sonoran Scottsmen. The event starts at 7pm.

    Here are the details:
The Sonoran Scotsmen are once again joining forces with the Tempe Community Action Agency and D'Arcy McGee's Irish pub to help out for the holidays!

    D'Arcy McGee's
Tempe Marketplace, 2000 E. Rio Salado Drive
    Tempe, AZ 85281

Please come join us for our annual kilted toy drive and charity event at D'Arcy McGee's Irish Pub in Tempe on Wednesday December 7th.

Please bring a toy and you can trade it in for a pint! Also there will be live entertainment, raffle drawings and a portion of the proceeds for the evening also are donated to the cause.

If you wear a kilt or plaid skirt (for the ladies) you will receive a free raffle ticket into some great drawings.
