One reason is that I wanted the darker blue in the X Marks kilt but also because I had seen photos of Barbara Tewksbury's daughter in an Air Force tartan and was afraid that people might throw rocks at me after seeing her. She makes a much better poster person for the Air Force than I would.

I do like those pockets.
Fair enough but remember you have the right to wear whatever kilt you wish, you earned the right to wear a kilt in USN tartan.
