OK. So everything is in (all 37 markers) and it has narrowed down the playing field considerably. Of course, now I wish I had paid for the 67 markers back when it was on sale. Maybe later down the road after I work some more paper trails. As it stands I have 7 exact matches in the whole data base and they all have the last names of Cochran, Cockerham, and one Smith. Now if I could just get some replies to my emails....I could start tracking down paper.

That's great! I completely understand about people not responding to e-mail...drives me crazy. I tried contacting a fellow through the family finder who matched a surname in my family tree, he seemed to know a lot but he refuses to answer my e-mail. Very frustrating.

Funny thing...I read your post and got an email from someone who just matched me in the DNA test. True to Kantian principles/philosophy I acted as I would like other to act and returned the email. Here is hoping for Karma..

WVHighlander what good news! Yes it is frustriating when no one answers the emails, why did they do this if they weren't willing to share or learn more. Again, best of luck!

Better news. The surname admin took my pedigree (makes me sound like a border collie or something) and is going to look and see what they can find. Fingers are crossed!!
