Re: Skunk Fur Dress Sporran
I am a big fan of the skunk sporrans. Not so much the full face. A skunk fur spirran is on my wish list...and holds the top spot on my sporran wish list. When I do finally decide to get one, there are a couple makers within this forum that will hear from me.
I would be interested to see your work too, if you decide to go for it. Best of luck!

I never had one as a pet, but did get to pet one once. What a fine and gentle little creature! Illegal here now, but glad I met one.

Aye, I hear that they make very fine pets, indeed, especially once they have their...modified sweat gland... removed.
I've not had the good fortune to pet one, as of yet, but it's on my bucket list.

I've always thought of them as having the best characters of both cats and dogs, and having none of the worst characters of either. Wonderful animals.

Hmm... I might need to look into this as a serious pet possibility. I'd think they'd be lawful in Georgia.

That's what I've always heard.
EDIT: If I do get a pet skunk, would it be wrong of me to name it Sporran?

I can't even imagine trying to bring home a skunk and convince my wife that it is a pet! As to naming it sporran, personally, I would!!!

Re: Skunk Fur Dress Sporran
PBS had a cute promo ad a few years back, with a skunk wandering through a family's home. It kept going around corners just before a person would have seen it, finally ended up on the bed next to the napping husband. Then the camera panned to a family photo that made it obvious the skunk was a pet, with the message about keeping an open mind.
They never said what its name was, though

Loudon Wainwright would be a funny name for a pet skunk, better yet, a skunk sporran: Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
