They have a design that I really like, but I'm a bit hesitant to order until I find a no-malarkey review of their product. Thanks.

Nice job on the jacket. I think I may do something similar on the pockets of my next conversion after reading this.
    Will do!

I do have a finished jacket pic, while wearing it, which I need to post.

Sorry gents, I got sidetracked working on a couple of vehicle projects. I have a big 4x4 vacation trip to the California desert coming up quickly in two weeks.

    Finished pics!

Well, as finished as the gray one can be without buttons....and epaulettes.

OK, not finished pics, but fit pics!

Well, you're obviously very talented, but to me your jacket looks too short.

I heard somewhere (and I prefer that way) that a jacket should come down to the fell (or the "body" of the jacket should be at least as long as the sleeves). Sorry.

No offense taken, thanks for the constructive criticism.

The fell is about 2" lower. My arms are a bit longer than that.
The jacket appeared too long when I had it down to the fell.

I'll wear it and study more pics.

    Thanks again!

Or is it just the designner's own liking ? I like the way you made yours !

But I see so many different shapes of curve -some longer then others.

What is your take on that ?
I posted curve templates taken from my store bought argyll in my album a while back

I'd recommend you go to the widest part of your hips length wise... Unless you had the kilt made to your sizes, and are wearing it at the right height etc, the fell can be a bit misleading... The hips also helps you if you dont happen to be wearing a kilt when you're looking for jackets...

Otherwise a great job, I liked the sneaky way you came up with the fabric for the cuffs... I may have to see whether that will work for my current one...

The piping on the pocket flaps I left short of the edge when I did mine to allow for the buttons. I also didnt sew the lining until after I mounted the buttons in that area so I could mount them through the loose weave tweed.

All in all a great job though.

As I knew it would be -Great Job , I am in the works of doing this myself too.

But I too am finding it hard to find (time ) to do it.

Thank You for the Template -I will use that.

That is a fine, FINE looking jacket! Huge coplements to you, my friend. And I think the length looks good, myself.
