    Smashing pictures Alex!

I especially liked the one of the replica of the Der Adler train, it made me think of Trevor from the "Thomas the Tank Engine" show.

    Cheers

Re: Bavarian Christmas Markets & Steam Trains

Great set of pictures, Alex. Reminded me of the time I lived in Germany - Thanks.

It always amazes me how different cultures design their environments differently. We too have architecture and canals and markets and steam locomotives, but all it takes is one look at these to see that they are German.

    Regards

    Chas

Ah, the mark of an involved and loving dad. To know the denizens of Sodor so well that you can't dislodge the names and faces for years.

Enjoyed the reference, Panache; it took me back to when my son was absolutely train-crazed!

You are truly the ViewMaster of XMTS. You take us to places in the world that we are unlikely or unable to visit, and it's always an adventure.
    Thank you!

You're right, Jamie. I knew the Der Adler reminded me of something, but I just couldn't remember what it was. It's been years since my children watched Thomas and his engine friends.

I can't wait to get home and look at the photos. Our server at work will not let us view most pictures. On social networking sites.
