Found a great use for the Holiday $$ I received
Some friends and family members opt to give cash in lieu of presents during the holidays. It's always a perfect fit and the right color, in my opinion ;-)
So what to do with this????? Hmmmm....
I sent it to Jerry so I can FINALLY get that brown kilt belt, antique brass buckle and brown sporran hanger set I've been eyeing for the last 6 months!

Pete,
Is it the embossed brown belt? I have that one (though the one I bought had an antique brass finish). I'm really pleased with it.
Cheers

Yes, embossed brown belt. Nice catch on the buckle--yep antique brass. I edited the above.
Now--off to buy some good brown brogues.

Pete,
I wouldn't bother worrying too much about matching your shoes to your sporran and belt. I'm wearing a really comfortable pair of black Hush Puppies and a brown belt, brown sporran strap, and a black and brown Freelander sporran. I think it was Sandford or MacMillian of Rathdown that got me to stop worrying and just go with a good pair of black shoes.
I can post a photo if you like. It just works
Cheers

Jamie,
Thanks. I just can't get my grandfather's voice out of my head "Watchband, belt, shoes always match". :-)
I have some brown oxfords and dark brown-on-brown saddle shoes that will work. BUT...I could use a new pair :-)

That's how I was raised too.
I tried to wear a brown sporran and black belt once and was worried about the way it looked all afternoon.

I have one of these belts/buckles and I love 'em. Good choice.
It matches my brown Buzz Kidder sporran quite well, too.
