I doubt that thing is a true antique sporran. The leather looks too fresh to be very old and it is of a style that just does not look Scottish or even like an antique sporran. Most, but not all, surviving antique sporrans have a metal clasp or other type of closure mechanism. There are some extant that do not have any metal in them but none that have that awful ugly braided leather hanging all over them. If it is a sporran - and I gather that my fellow forumites are doubtful on that score - it could be Victorian since some truly hideous stuff came out of the Victorian fascination with all things Scottish.
