A little tired after a hot day at the Highland Games in Kerpen, Germany, two weeks ago. Grey shirt, burgundy hose, grey flashes, no jacket for a more casual look. This picture taken after a full day watching the games, so the belt belt is a little off.

A few compliments today around work and during the noon hour walk.

    Happy Friday, all

No kilt at work today. It's exceedingly rainy and I didn't feel like dealing with everything being wet all day. If it stops by evening, perhaps a kilt for dinner.

Thank you F’r Bill, glad you like it. I thought it was a pretty decent combo. Just right for the temperature. Goes to show how versatile the kilt is.

Today seemed a very Scottish day- cold, windy, and intermittently drizzling down for the past 24 hours. Today involved listening to Stan Rogers over lunch and knitting my next pair of kilt hose. I did get a complement on my present hose from a lady at Aldi this evening. Apparently a good choice for the steadily dropping temps.

Was kilted for a historical tour of a local cemetery. Many important figures of the city's history are buried or at least memorialized there. Received many compliments on the kilt (and many questions of "aren't you cold?"). Afterwards, went to a pub with my in-laws for a burger and beers. Was a great day.

In fact, I wasn't cold, except my hands. Everything else was nice and warm. Brown derby shoes, navy lewis hose, red flashes, Armstrong ancient kilt, brown leather day sporran, navy pullover sweater, Lovat blue tweed jacket, fawn Balmoral bonnet. 44F / 6C, windy, and overcast. Perfect day for a walk in a beautiful and historically rich location such as that!

    OK, so not a Friday...

Started the New Year, again, in Alberta Modern at the Lt Gov New Year Levee on 1 January in Edmonton. Only one other kilt this year, Maple Leaf.
