Good move; worked great! Although you look good anyway (as does your companion ornament). Please let me know where you rented your ornament; as a very casual dresser I often need leveling up. Haven't seen those in shops near me.

Theyre hard to find. This adorable one, along with her brothers, loves wearing a kilt. When she saw me trying on my new jacket, she insisted we had a Dada/Daughter Kilt fashion show. Im calling it a solid parenting win

    Much appreciated.
1)'Bunsin combat boot' by Madden, very affordable and very comfortable even to walk around in all day. Doubt they're super durable, but hey, looks count for something.
2)She picked the rose flower buckle and kilt pin. Immediately upon arrival she requested it be painted pink. What can I say, she knows how to coordinate accessories...I think she'll fit right in to the kilt community

Wore my XMTS tartan USA Kilt to Quantico National Cemetery for fellow XMarker ORVIS/ORVICE's, (aka Gerry Orvis, MSGT, USMC ret) interment. Sir William was there in his US Marine tartan kilt. A living history reenactor of the Appin Regiment (1745 Jacobites) played the bagpipes. Gerry had written his own eulogy read by his daughter. You Marines would be proud. Semper Fi, Marines.

Thank you for seeing a fellow Marine off to his well-deserved rest. I only have a utility-type kilt at the moment, but a Leatherneck Tartan is on the short list.

    Semper Fi!

I'm grateful that you guys were able to be there to represent the rest of us. His contributions here were always welcome. Well informed and well thought out. In addition, I always appreciate folk who serve, as my family has always served. I know folk I describe as "guys who weren't there when that didn't happen, as our government would not have asked that". Above and beyond the standard call. I've had the impression his service was more than we knew.

Last Friday with fellow XMarker SCV40bt, attended the fundraiser Whiskey Business Scottish Highlands at the Old Silk Mill in Fredericksburg, Virginia. What a blast! I felt like the Kilt Ambassador with the many inquiries about my outfit. It was a wonderful evening. I'll not forget sitting out on the veranda on the lovely fall evening with a full measure of McAllen Double Cask and a rolled cigar chatting with friends.

Last Friday, Craig Forester and I attend in Laurinburg, NC a Whisky Seminar featuring Glenfiddich and Balvenie, and later a reception for the Clan Conveners at the Scotland County Games. A very enjoyable and adventurous evening. Craig snagged a Glenfiddich 21 year old at the concluding auction. (Sorry, don't remember the winning bid amount but it wasn't cheap.)
