Single malt prices seem to be skyrocketing lately, so even it was a good deal, it wouldn't be cheap. Alt least he has something wonderful to drown is sorrows with!

    Kilted Everyday

I work at a public safety supply store at the Unmentionables (here)counter. I've been mostly kited since we started carrying the 5.11 Tactical Kilts. In fact when people forget my name they just refer to the 'kilted guy' since some believe it's incorrect to say "the Black Guy", or "the Old Dude". It's such an ice breaker with so many people and I get grief if I'm not wearing a kilt.
"The Highland dress is essentially a 'free' dress, -- that is to say, a man's taste and circumstances must alone be permitted to decide when and where and how he should wear it... I presume to dictate to no man what he shall eat or drink or wherewithal he shall be clothed." -- The Hon. Stuart Ruaidri Erskine, The Kilt & How to Wear It, 1901.

    Friday's outfit

New (to me) Argyle in a gun club tweed by Leeming & Salisbury of York.

Trying it out with a denim shirt and a crocheted tie and hose, made by my wife.

The sporran is a Margaret Morrison and the Harris tweed kilt is a bespoke piece by Campbell's of Beauly.

Very interesting cuff detail on this jacket. I've never seen one like this before.

Excellent outfit. Everything is a bit different, but still gives off a largely traditional look. While it's not THCD perhaps, it's very well done. Fantastic.
