Air travel for the first time kilted today. Interesting at security, but no issues.
Stopped in at Freedom Kilts. Steve was away at the dentist. Tried on a grey granite casual. Tempting. (Photo wouldn't upload)

    John-

I was sporting the Scruffy Wallace on Friday. It is a really great tartan. Most of the time when I am out kilted it is for work, but I made it too Los Alamos Concert Association show last fall.

While I occasionally get an odd look when stopping in at Smith's to pick up lunch on the way to work, the reaction around town is almost universally positive. At this this point the kids at the Teen Center do not even notice, or if they do they accept my reply of " Because it is Friday" to their questions about why I am wearing a kilt.

Feel free to stop in sometime at the Teen Center and take a look around. Ideally it would be on a Friday around 11:30 when the kids are there for lunch. I want them all firmly convinced that "Kilted Friday" is a real thing and that they just need to get with the program.

Will do! ... with wings on my feet and a kilt 'round the waist.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

I like the logic... Perhaps one could adopt this for other days of the week. "Because it's Tuesday"....

I have had a few occasions when I was not there on a Friday came kilted on Monday. When they asked what the deal was I told them it was a "make-up kilt day".

I tend to switch off between it's Friday and because I own them, which I often get "Them? How many?" But I only wear them to work on Friday's.

Decided to do a Kilted Monday at work today in my Ancient Campbell.
I'll be wearing kilts to work more often as we're facing an acquisition/downsizing, and I've decided that standing out from the crowd and being noticed couldn't hurt...

And there is always the old standby - I only wear the kilt on days that end with a "Y"!
