St. Patrick's Day parade Colorado Springs

As many of you know, I am in a living history association who's focus is on the Highland Scots from roughly 1650 to 1746. We were asked to participate in the Colorado Springs St. Patrick's Day parade for the second year in a row. Thought I would show off some pictures! To start, here is my wife and I before the parade:

I finally did away with the cheesey Jacobite shirt that I've been wearing for several years and replace it with a more period correct 1700's style osnaburg work shirt.

Here's a group shot of everyone in our unit, including the 79th New York:

    The 79th by themselves:

...and I can't seem to access the rest of the pictures. I'll more up later, I suppose.

    Congratulations on the new shirt.

Pretty cool Hawk. The shirt does look better than the Jacobite. Dig the heat you're packing in the first pic too.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

She needs a little cleaning and a trip to a gunsmith for some maintainance, but yeah, she's a beaut. Here are a couple more pics:

It's funny the looks on kids faces when they find out that everything I wear and carry is real and usable.

How long is the shirt, Hawk?

That's a beauty...looks heavy with all that brass. Probably okay for you, but I'm not a big enough boy to lug it around comfortably.

By the way, that shirt qualifies as "dressed up" where I live.

    I got them here:

That shirt is my latest "Oh God, it's terrible!!" St. Pat's Day t shirt. The pistol... Yeah, it's heavy. The weight actually absorbs the recoil rather well, though, which is nice.

Ted- that shirt is long enough to be a good night shirt. It comes down almost to my knees, so it's perfect for wear with a great kilt.
