2012 Costa Mesa (Orange County) CA Games, May 26-27
Just made our hotel reservations! This will be our first visit to Costa Mesa Games so will have to rely on others to suggest meeting places. Who else will we see there? Any Saturday night plans?

I'll be in CA then for a family vacation. Pretty sure we'll try to make it down to compete on Saturday. It'll be our first time too. I think a few other Arizona guys are planning to drive over and compete there too. If there's a gathering somewhere Friday night, I'll try to make it, and bring as many of them kilted too.
I'm not upset because it's Monday...I'm upset because I have to wear pants!

Sydnie and I will not be up there Friday night. We will come up for the day on Saturday and hope to get together with some folks that evening. We will then be back Sunday.
I just went to the web site and learned tickets are not yet on sale.
If you can avoid it never get into a fair fight.

My wife continues to seek employment so our discretionary budget right now is pretty limited, but if we have a positive turnaround soon I would welcome a Saturday evening meet up.

Glad to hear that Greg. Looking forward to seeing my favorite "marrying man."

I'll be there with the LA Scots both days.
It's by far the closest Games for me, just a couple miles.
I can suggest good local food etc if anyone is looking for suggestions. A terrific Indian place (Haveli) is just up the road a couple miles, and the Goat Hill Tavern is close to the Fairgrounds.
Carried away by the madness of fight, the English knight charged straight into the Spanish array. Here and there tossed the white plume of the English helmet, rising and falling like the foam upon a wave, until at last it had sunk from view, and another brave man had turned from war to peace.

Muldoons Irish Pub (across from Fashion Island in Newport Beach, about 10 minutes from Costa Mesa) is also a great place for dinner.
Goat Hill Tavern is really fun!

I will be attending a wedding on Friday up in Monterey Bay, so, I'm not sure if I will be there for Saturday or not. Monterey and Costa Mesa are about 370 miles away form each other.

Visiting my parents that weekend so I'll be there on saturday. If you go to GHT, make sure you try a Magic Hat. One of the best beers I've ever had.
