    First thread!

It appears that I have the honor of being the first poster on Bonnie's new sub-forum.
My new Bonnie Heather Greene bespoke Lochcarron 16 oz. Dunlop Ancient kilt arrived with yesterday's mail. It is simply beautiful and fits like it was made for me.
Bonnie was kind enough to work this project into her busy schedule using tartan I already had on hand. A comprehensive online conversation ensued during which she gathered my measurement information, options details and pleating preference. She came up with a pleat scheme which improved on my initial idea and sent a photo for my approval before proceeding. She sent regular email updates with photos during the course of the build.
I could not possibly be more pleased with the result. Her sewing skills are nothing short of amazing.
Photos to follow at the earliest opportunity.
    Thanks again, Bonnie!

Bonnie is truly fantastic. I recieved a hand sewn kilt from her last fall. Wonderful workmanship. Congratulations on your new kilt.

My brother (MadPiper1130) and I are attending an ordination ceremony for a friend of ours this evening. I think we might be able to work in a photo op.

Taken this afternoon before the event. I'm not angry -- the sun was in my eyes.

    Chris.
My original idea was to pleat to the double red stripe on the black undercheck. The idea was to hide the light blue and make a flash of it...

Bonnie understood what I was after and applied her skills and experience to make it happen in a way I did not think about. By pleating to the black field minus the red stripes and closer to the light blue, she placed the light blue so that it is just hidden, maximizing its exposure upon movement...

Just one of many reasons that I am so pleased with her work!
