    Kilted On Cruise

Here are a few pics of our formal night on board the Cruise. It was a great experience and i kept it on for the show after dinner and drinks at the bar. Not one bad or disparaging comment the entire night and in fact several comments were given days after i wore it expressing how nice i looked. A gentleman in a Tuxedo came up to me and said" I havn't seen a man in a kilt in ages." Then told his wife he should have got the kilt instead of the Tux. The Jacket is not a traditional kilt jacket but i felt i pulled it off nicely.

My kilt is coming with me on my next cruise, I have been on 5 royal caribbean cruises and always the kilt gets forgotten at home.

Think they will let me on the flow rider in a kilt and sporran???

Nick: You, and your lovely lady, both "pulled it off nicely". Congratulations.

Is the tartan the Green Mackay? If you ever get a Scottish jacket like an Argyll or a Prince Charlie, it will display even more of your tartan and sporran. Bon voyage!

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

It just proves that every one was happy on the cruise (not surprising) and when those of us receive derisive comments we can assume that those people are miserable.

I just booked my next cruise yesterday (Going in September). I will be bringing at least one kilt, possibly both for the formal nights.

I'll be kilted in my own Ancient MacKay on a Alaska cruise in June.
