Not quite done, lacking a waistband and straps and buckles plus a bit of hemming as the selvedge was wonky, but it's looking pretty good hanging in the closet! The kilt will be my new dance kilt. I've decided that as an older dancer since I already stick out, to go all the way. Next up is the hose. Hopefully I can get those made before mid-October to compete at Stone Mountain.
The camp was worth it even though I've made two previous kilts from THE BOOK. The instructor, Judy Sullivan was very good and being Elsie trained, she'd have to be nothing but. Made some new friends, met some online friends and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The price was darn cheap to include not only the instruction but the meals and accommodations at a beautiful location in Troy. I hope that I'm lucky enough to attend again next year.
Who knew that sitting on your butt for 12 hours a day sewing, would be so tiring?
