Jeez! Get a room, you two! It is the Brown Palace, after all.
    Looks like you had fun.

Yeah, I'm not sure which is worse in that pic, the sparkle in her eyes or the big grin on his face!

I take umbrage at the notion of the grin or the hand being "worse" as both of them indicate pool parties in the appropriate craniums. You know, just to borrow an analogy.

... and I bet the whisky was good, too.

I d'know. I think one is appropriate to the other, given the company. And my guess is that he's always had that vaguely comic visage, hand up his kilt or not.

If a person were forced to choose, the hand is the obvious choice since it is the direct cause of the grin's goofy smugness.

I am aware of only one other situation that is even remotely as distasteful. It has the same elements: wool, intruding hand, smug grin...

...curly-haired woman who does all the thinking and talking...

Figured some wag out there would post that hilarious addition sooner or later. Might as well reduce the sting by doing it myself.

I am seriously sorry that I missed this event. Other than being in Scotland, I can not think of many other places that I would enjoy spending some time in other than the environs of the Brown Palace. My darling wife Maggie and I try to enjoy Afternoon Tea there whenever we are visiting Denver.
Add that to a Macallan tasting and I am certain that it was an event that will live long in your memories, (for a variety of reasons).
