    A kilted evening

My son is graduating from high school this month. The school he attends has a tradition called Senior Honor Night which is a formal dinner during which a slide show is presented showing a short biography and futures plans for each graduating senior (14 in his class).

Five years ago, when my oldest graduated, one of her classmates, a lad from the MacRae clan, wore his kilt. The narrow-minded vice-principal was aghast and banned kilts from all school events. However, that VP is no longer at the school and I informed (I didn't ask) the current administration that the Ua Meachair would be attending kilted. Our clan chieftain even offered to come, but attendance was limited to seniors and their parents.

My son was rather hesitant at first but finally decided to kilt-up. And given the overwhelmingly postive response (especially from the young ladies), I think he's glad he did.

Now, feast your eyes upon this (in case you're confused, my son is on the right):

What a sensational family/graduation photograph! Thanks for posting it.

Each of you look handsome/beautiful in your plaid outfits. I particularly like your ghillies, flashes, and sash. What tartan is that? Is it an Irish tartan?
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

***. Beautiful. And having gone Elk hunting in your neck of the woods long ago, it is nice to see that you are a true Montana man by announcing what you are going to do, rather than asking permission.

    I love it
