Kilt and cable car

I had the pleasure of joining my lovely F-H.C.A.G. in San Francisco for a weekend (she was attending a conference there) and finally got my first cable car ride!

Fun way to get around the City especially when you are with a bonnie lass!

We got off at Hyde St and I thought it was funny that as I took a picture of our car heading down the track a couple of other passengers were taking photos of me.

Great pics Jamie. I am surprised to read that this was your first cable car ride. I'd assumed that San Jose was near San Francisco and that you would have been to SF often.

Alex,

San Jose is quite close to San Francisco but for some reason my parents never took our family there as children save for the SF Zoo. It is an interesting place to be sure and I have been gradually getting to know it better in the last couple of years. In truth neither Star or I are really as happy in a big city as we are out in the country.

My wife lived in SF for years. We love that area, of course we lived in Mountain View when we lived there. great place for sure and great pictures. I only rode once myself in all the years we lived in the bay area.

I see them. They look great. I think I rode the cable cars in '62 or '66. I was a wee lad at the time, but I do remember.

Great pics. Love the Heatherfield kilt. I've been there and rode the same line, standing and hanging on to the outside pole. Quite a ride. Can't imagine that ride in a kilt. If you're not careful, you could stop traffic. ;)
