Cool Back from the 1/2 Price Bookstore

Just returned from 1/2 Price Books, and amongst the new treasures I found, "Scottish Clans and Tartans" by Neil Grant, "Scottish Highlanders" by Charles MacKinnon and "Scotland The Autobiography; 2,000 Years of Scottish History By Those Who Saw It Happen" Compiled and annotated by known Scottish literary scholar Rosemary Goring. Can't wait to dive into the pages . The first two books I already had some passing familiarity with as they've been quoted and referenced by others elsewhere in the forum. The last seemed just too intriguing to pass up.

On the funny side, the clerk who checked me out took one look at my kilt and then at the books, and said, "Don't you know all about this stuff already?" I said, "There's always something more to learn."

I'll provide reviews when I've waded through them if anyone's interested.

    Interested!!

Also interested hearing about a 1/2 price bookstore. With one of those, I might be able to retain enough income to afford another kid.

On second thought, for the good of society...just tell us about the books.

I don't know if it'll support another kid, but it might get you another kilt. I'll keep you posted.

With my half-@ssed approach to parenting, it just might. I'll keep my eyes swabbed.

I own and have read "Scottish Highlanders" by Charles MacKinnon. Very brief, but interesting, history. Hope you enjoy it.
