Excellent book. I've read all the Morris books. I also read When Trumpets Call, by patricia o'toole. Not as sympathetic as Morris, but gives a dimension I didn't know about. I grew up on Long Island and he was a childhood hero of mine.

Just picked up "Blood Divine: A Novel of Flodden Field" by John Sadler. Read mostly non-fiction by wanted a break in the action.

Just finished rereading Fer de Lance and starting to reread In the Best Families. Both books are by Rex Stout and are part of the Nero Wolfe/Archie Goodwin series. Have read all books in this series more than once but they are just too good to cast aside

Reading Glass Houses, the latest in Louise Penny's detective series about Chief Inspector Armand Gamache of the Surete de Quebec.
If you like murder mysteries, this is a really great series because while each book has a mystery of its own, there is another set of dark mysteries that runs through the entire series, mostly in the background, but coming to the very front from time to time. That means you need to read them in order, starting with Still Life (2005). The good news is, if you like them, she's still writing!
