    New Celtic themed belt

I just finished up a celtic themed belt for myself.

It is just for everyday wear so it is only 1 1/4 inches wide. This presented some challenges in finding a pattern that would fit on the belt and then working the details of the pattern. It was very tight.

I've had the belt blank and kit for awhile, but was recently motivated to work on it by the belt made by my new friend here, TheOfficialBren, who made himself a nice kilt belt.

One of the great things about this forum is the support and inspiration from members to members in all areas such as sporrans, kilts, belts, etc. Thanks to all of you for sharing your talents, whether just starting out or showing the highest levels of skills some of our members have.

    Sincerely,

    Tom

    Tom,

Really nice work and an attractive belt as the result. I would say that you are well on your way to a kilt belt project.

About how many hours do you have invested in belt?

    Nile,
Thank you for your comments. There were about 10 hours invested altogether. Each of the 4 knot panels was about 2 hours. The burnishing of the back and the edges was more than an hour.
I think working on a wider belt, with a larger pattern width, would be easier.
