In praise of Buy a Kilt.com and MacDonald Sporrans Ltd.

I purchased a belt, buckle and hose from BuyaKilt.com (MacDonald Sporrans) for my partner to go with the kilt I made him for Christmas. He was dressing for a recent event and was putting his kilt belt on when "PING" the bale of the buckle snapped off the back. Must have been a faulty casting or crack or something.

I contacted the nice folks at Buyakilt with a copy of my order number and explained what happened and they said they would be glad to replace the buckle. It arrived yesterday, about 12 days after my first contact. I can't say how pleased I am with their customer service. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Hopefully not the same model of buckle for you both?

I have had really good experience in dealing with Buy a Kilt.

From double-checking when my height and kilt length didn't seem right
to being prepared to offer reasonable variation in package deals to
offering deals when buying additional kit (jackets, dress sporran, etc.) to
go with an already purchased kilt. They have been ready to do the right
    thing at all times.

I had a minor problem with a ghillie shirt -- the supplied laces broke
before I could even use them. I spoke to them and replacements were
in my hands in short order.

Dealing over the Internet is always potentially problematic.

But dealing with BAK is "no worries".

In general, if I can get it from them, they are my go-to dealer.

@FERGUS: No, I had ordered some flashes and the wrong item was sent. You replaced within some days and refunded extra shipping costs. Alle went well

    Great to hear good feedback.

Also, good to hear that we don't have a potential issue with buckles breaking!
