    The Highland Gentleman's Wardrobe

I just came across this website and thought I would share it with the rabble: http://www.houseoflabhran.com/.

    Enjoy!

Hmmm. Thanks for the link. I spent some time on the site looking around. It does pass my initial "smell" test...the language and presentation are acceptable for UK or North America so it is unlikely to be a come-on Asian site (although that can certainly be fudged...) But speaking only for myself, I don't think I'll be dealing with these folks; here's why:

Mainly, it doesn't pass my personal "Legit Commerce" test. Nowhere is a physical address or tel. no. shown; thus, I have no way of gaining insight into who or where the company is nor how an inquiry (or complaint) might be handled outside of e-mail. Some sniffing around turned up the fact that the contact e-mail addresses are GoogleMail.com. Perhaps too small or too cheap to buy a domain name? In this day and age -- really?

Additionally, things may not be "what it says on the can." For example, on the belt buckle page, I noticed a graphic at the top showing many many buckles. So what's on offer?-- only three; all different in detail but similar in overall appearance.

My opinion only, but I'm thinking this vendor may be just a "repackager" who stocks nothing and simply buys your ordered goods from other suppliers. Informed opinion from others will be appreciated.

Agreed. If you want the real deal, including vintage items, then House of Labhran is a good option. I've purchased several vintage sporrans from him and have been quite pleased.

The prices seem a little high to me to be Asian/Pakistani manufacture. Not seeing any of the unbelievably low prices you often do on the South Asian sites.

I am one of the House of Labhran's satisfied customers. I have purchased a good number of items from Tim and they have always been of good quality and "as advertised". He is a good businessman - responsive, communicative, easy to work with, and will go to extra lengths to make sure the customer is happy - kind of like a British Rocky. I highly recommend his "shop".
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

It's not Asian/Pakistani manufacture. It's high quality products supplied by a Scotsman, Timothy Niall-Harris.
