I am down to the last few ounces in my Macallan 18. It must be finished off tonight to avoid any further oxygen taint!!

Speaking of Glenmorangie's various offerings, I cannot hardly wait for my next trip east to my folks along the Virginia border to be able to pick up some Glenmorangie Ealanta at the Virginia ABC stores. Cannot get it here, even at the big places that do special order. And cannot get it shipped in either due to state laws against "importing liquor" across state lines without a liquor license.
So for now I will have to dream and hope that maybe somebody out there has tasted the stuff and can at least give me a vicarious tasting by describing their own experience with it.

That's a fine malt right there. I'm a fan.

Went to a gourmet cooking class with my wife and some friends of ours for Valentines day. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had a nice selection of single malts in addition to the di rigueur wines. Because of the cold and snow I selected a 12 year old Bowmore and found it very pleasing. Not as smokey as the Laphroig or Laguvalin but just as smooth. I was enthralled enough to have two. What surprised me the most was that they priced it the same as the wines at $9.00 a glass which is a modest price for dining out.

I finished off The Black Grouse last night, and this evening, I could not resist the call of the Dalwhinnie 15. Um-um, good.
