Back to an old favourite this evening; recently finished a Laphroaig 10 and had to get a new Islay to replace it. Opened up a new Bowmore 12 (which was my first ever peated dram) and was quickly reminded why it led me to my love of peat.

Not my usual last night. In memory of Neal Peart (RIP), a young Macallan.

I am a man of modest means but do like my scotch. Single malts are Glenlivet 12 and Auchentoshan 12, aways drunk neat. I also have Black and White, Prohibition Edition Cutty Sark and Johnny Walker White Walker. The White Walker was a gift from my niece who is into both scotch and Game of Thrones. The Black and White was on sale and an impulse buy in honor of the Rat Pack for drinking on the rocks. I probably would have never bought the White Walker myself, but it isn't bad at all, YMMV!

I am typing this in my kilt which I wore for a dinner party with my inlaws and my grandson. Not good a selfies. This is my first one.

    Dave
