I've been enjoying Aberlour lately, and sometimes especially the A'bunadh. Very rich, very smooth, very warm!

Father's Day for me was a bottle of Ardbeg 10. I really love the Islay. I also received an Virginia ABC gift card which I may use for something a little lighter.

My how the bar has grown!
Last night we had a couple (DryFly and his beautiful bride) over for a night of cards, food and fellowship. As the night progressed I decided it was time to pull out the Scotch bar. I did not realize I had amassed quite a variety. 12 bottles ranging from mild to smokey.

At the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games, Thursday through Sunday, I had many wee drams of Old Pulteney 12, as we shared our Quaich with many visitors to the Clan Sinclair tent. I also had a bit of Talisker, Highland Park 12, Dalwhinnie 15, Jura Origin, Caol Ila, and Glenmorangie Lasanta.

I tasted oak with a bit of honey. Not my favorite, but not unpleasant.

My favorites are anything by Glenmorangie, Edradour and Glenfiddich. However my "hobby" is trying different brands of single malt whisky. I have been enjoying Ardbeg Uigeadail lately as my "good night" dram before bed.

Tonight was Cragganmore Distillers Edition 2013. My 2nd favorite Speyside I think, after Aberlour.
Too bad it's almost gone. But it's been good!
