And here's a photo of the apron...
PS... Piobair gave me the go ahead to post these photos because he hasn't had a chance to take any photos yet.

OMG, Bonnie, you did an absolutely wonderful job. Carry on the excellent work!
By the way, I wore the Robertson that you did for me to school today, and the students loved it. They wanted to know where I got it. My reply, "from an excellent, kilt-maker lady in NY." I doubt, though, that you'll be getting any orders soon from my 7th graders. lol

I'm glad to see this thread. I've been debating how to pleat a kilt with a similar sett size and this has given me another thought or two.
That aside, yours looks fantastic! I love those colors.

A kilt never looks so good as when it is on a piper playing. Congratulations! You do the tartan proud.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

If I were a Gordon this is the one I'd most likely wear, too. Stunning work!

Piobair, you look great! I wish there were audio to hear you playing and video to see the pleats sway when you walk.
Thanks for posting this picture and thanks for all your good ideas which helped us decide on this pleating.
