Hellya!! One of my great regrets is not being kilt addicted for my various graduation ceremonies. Would in a heart beat for another one. The clan tartan makes such a strong statement. You've earned this academic honor - CELEBRATE!

ML, is that all you have to say on this subject? I've come to look forward to at least 25 words or more from your (always interesting) posts. BREVIS ESSE LABORO OBSCURUS FIO (I labor to be brief; I become obscure). Please expand.

Entirely biased advice on this forum—we, a fellowship of one-eyed fanatics who would probably advocate the kilt for volcano watchers, moon walkers and as tropical beachwear.

Hardly, we're just proud of our kilts and enjoy wearing them.

In Scotland the kilt is generally worn for celebrations, and graduations across the nation are a fine excuse for a flurry of kilts every year. Flurry is possibly not the best collective noun for kilt wearers but you get the idea.

When I was a lad I served a term as office boy to an attorneys' firm. I cleaned the windows and I swept the floor., I polished up the knocker on the big front door. As office boy, I made such a mark, that they gave me the post of the junior clerk. I served the writs with a smile so bland and I copied all the ledgers in a big round hand. I wore clean collars and the tartan of my clan at the graduation of my class with a big brass band.
Melior?

Welcome from the West Midlands of England. Do wear your kilt! (No one in this forum will say otherwise.) Look forward to seeing the pics.
